Genesis9:2-4 Ministries Posted on September 15, 2007 by shamanSeptember 15, 2021

Last night, Friday Night, we didn’t go to the farm. We’re not squirrel hunting. We’re not deer hunting. We’re not painting the sheds. We’re not driving to Mount Olivet for dead fried chicken. Friday night Moose wanted to stay in town and go to his high school football game. He’s … Continue reading →

Are Deer Getting Smarter? 0 (0)

Genesis9:2-4 Ministries Posted on September 7, 2007 by shamanApril 23, 2021 2

I remember this same discussion over bass many years ago. The question was this: It used to be a sawed-off teaspoon would catch bass. What happened to those bass? Why won’t they bite a sawed-off teaspoon any more? In largemouth bass there is no room for culture. Big bass don’t … Continue reading →

I’ve got stuff still from 1982. My sons are wearing the stuff I started out with. You replace them when they stop doing the job. Some things I’ve learned over the years: 1) Rotate your clothes. To keep scent down, I always have one or more changes for the weekend … Continue reading →

Blood Trails, etc. 0 (0)

Genesis9:2-4 Ministries Posted on May 27, 2007 by shamanDecember 29, 2024

Why do I hunt? 0 (0)

Genesis9:2-4 Ministries Posted on May 14, 2007 by shamanMay 19, 2023 2

“. . .So does this make me a Shooter? Am I a Method Man? I probably am. I am probably all these things. I probably am an old-fashioned troglodyte, and that is why I hunt. When I finish out the season with a tag or two still unfilled, call me a Sportsman. When I am up to my elbows in deer gore, you can call me a naked ape with a gun. It is all the same thing, and it is all the same to me. If I go out for the afternoon with my gun or my bow, and fall asleep in the blind and wake up after sundown, does that make me a Sportsman or just another lazy goof?”

Genesis 9:2-4

2 The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every bird of the air, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4 Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
