Blue Grass Energy (sounds like a band, donit?) was out on Friday to hook up power to the garage. We’ve been patiently waiting since spring for this blessed occasion. They had to replace the pole with a bigger one, install a transformer and finish running the service from the garage up the pole and then hook everything back up.

Meanwhile, drywall in the kitchen and attic areas are nearly done. We’ll shortly start moving the kitchen over.

Due to the heat wave, we had only a short trip down. Moose and Angus used the tractor to blaze a path out to the old homestead on Soggy Bottom Creek and reopened the way out to Redbud, an overgrown field in our western reaches. Mooselette and I scouted around for food plot placements.
