Mooselette, daughter of Moose and MooseMama showed up at camp over the weekend. Grandpa shaman was quite pleased.

It was 3 years ago when MooseMama let it slip on our Memorial Day camping trip that there was going to be a new hunter at camp.  Since then, we’ve been preparing for that eventuality. Mooselette is approaching 2.5 years of age. See :  I’ve Been Busy . . . 

We had a special hike out to the Campground, complete with stops at the Honey Hole for lessons in turkey calling and a stop at Midway, where the deer blind became a magic fairy princess castle for a time.  Back at camp, there was a makeshift sandbox, a wading pool (complete with a live frog), and a firefly hunt. However, beating up her Uncle Angus with a wiffle ball bat seemed to be the preferred activity.
