Mooselette had the flu last weekend, so she did not make it over for her birthday party.  We had a make-up event yesterday.  One of the big highlights was a lesson from Grandpa on how to make pot calls.  I’d ordered up the makings for two calls from Shipleys. One was going to be a repair job on a call I broke over a decade ago, the other was a poplar base with slate over crystal.  Mooselette did all the sanding and staining.

Also included in the lesson were 3 strikers.  Mooselette got a hickory and a purpleheart.  Grandpa made himself one out of Dymalux.
