Angus came down to take advantage of the KY Squirrel Opener this weekend.  He showed up for an afternoon hunt yesterday but got caught in a thunderstorm. I stayed behind to do chores.  I was just putting the finishing touches on the new mount for the weather station, when I looked to the north and saw dark clouds where there had been blue skies minutes before.  I radioed to Angus, but it was to no avail.  I had barely enough time to get to the porch.  It hit him a couple of minutes later. Angus got seriously drenched.

He went back out this morning and managed to bag two in just under an hour’s hunting.
