Well, it’s coming. Daylight Savings Time is ending this weekend. Soon our mornings will be brighter and our afternoon hunts will be plunged into darkness. How is it going to affect your hunting?
How does the change back to standard time affect the deer? How does deer behavior change? We talked about this at length last year, with all the scientific studies out now showing that it triggers the rut. If so, we have more data since the 1-week shift in 2006. What do you think?
Well, it’s that time of year again!
Let’s see how many we can rope into the DST change hoax. I tried to hire a brass band for the occasion, but it didn’t work out.
I love it! First Saint Hubert’s Day, then DST-ending–this is my favorite time of year!!!
The trick here is to try and get as many people into believing that the change from Daylight Savings Time over this weekend somehow affects the deer. I got this idea a few years ago from the NWTF site. Some folks on there were all worried about the change in dates were going to adversely affect the turkeys.
